Council Tool Splitting Wedge

Drop forged from American high carbon steel. Correctly bevelled around the "struck" face to deter chipping and cracking. Designed to split logs, firewood, stave and other wood products. Sharpened and ready to use, the wedge is bevelled for efficient splitting and coated with a clear lacquer. 24cm long, weight 2.35kg. When using wedges, always use a woodchopper maul or axe to make a starting notch. Wedges should be struck by a sledge hammer or woodchopper maul with a larger striking face than the struck face of the wedge. Eye protection must be worn. Made in USA by Council Tool Company.
