The Nokokari No. 401 is a specialized short handled hand-forged Sk-5 steel Japanese hedge shear designed for professionals for cutting thicker, tougher branches with precision and balance. They feature a distinct design where one blade is straight and the other is serrated, allowing them to grip and slice through branches without slipping. Produced by Yoshioka Hamono in Ono City, Hyōgo, Japan, a company known for hand-forging high-quality edge tools since 1946.
